I was told that a 22kW Charger is waste since most the maximum AC charging capacity of most EV on the market is 11kW. The same applies for Kona EV, Model Y, etc. I have a 22kW charger and it won't take anything more than 11kW. There aren't many vehicles out there that can take anything above AC 11kW (apparently), even Tesla, except for older Model S (16kW). The only model that I know that could take AC 22kW is Renault Zoe. Is it true that a 22kW charger is a waste? All the best.
